Confirmed by the ONS (Office for National Statistics), self employed numbers are on the rise, continuing a trend that grew in the later part of 2015. Results show a 98,000 increase in the number of self employed in the UK, between the months of September to November 2015.

With that said, Finance and IT contractor prospects look promising in the early months of 2016. As confidence is reinstated with the latest Confederation of British Industry (CBI) / PwC Financial Services Survey December 2015 which shows a 6 per cent rise in the last quarter of 2015 compared with the three months prior.

The report agrees that the demand for growth in these sectors is partly due to the forthcoming financial investment from Government, and notably business volumes in areas such as life insurance, investment management and building societies; all of which could be good sources of new contracts.
