Most reactions to the news of the rise of inflation aren’t taken too positively, however it could be a blessing in disguise for contractors. It is said that those who work for themselves could benefit from the slight rise in inflation.

At only a rise of 0.2 per cent the consumer price index hasn’t changed dramatically but could just be enough to increase the affordability of working for yourself. The Association of Independent Professionals has welcomed this news as staying profitable in the economy is extremely important for contractors.

They also see that there will be an overall positive effect on their members despite the potential for changes in travel and subsistence expenses.
