Andrew Nixon - Director
Andy co-founded Nixon Williams in 1995 to provide fresh thinking to the freelance accountancy market. Customer service is one of Andy's top priorities and little escapes his keen eye.
Having worked in all areas of the business, Andy now has responsibility for staff recruitment, development and training; he has also implemented most of the systems that the company now operates.
Before founding Nixon Williams, Andy has had management roles in the public sector, leisure and hospitality industries. He is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Alan Williams - Director
Alan co-founded Nixon Williams in 1995 to offer contractor accountancy services, since then he has seen many changes, the most notable being the introduction of IR35 in 2000.
Passionate about excellent customer service, Alan has worked tirelessly to deliver this at a reasonable price.
Prior to Nixon Williams, Alan worked in various accountancy roles covering the health sector, commodities, chemicals, consumer products and transport. He has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, CIMA since 1990.
Brett McDonald - Team 1 Manager
Brett joined us four years ago from another practice and quickly realised how different we went about doing things. Used to being reactive, the move to a proactive practice was a welcome move. Brett was amazed that we sent draft accounts to clients just weeks after their yearend, but now sees this as a minimum service level to be achieved.
Being our longest serving Team Manager, Brett has a breadth of experience which enables his team to provide a guide to contractors around the UK.
Craig McCall - Team 2 Manager
Craig has rapidly worked his way to his current position and now manages an energetic team who enthusiastically care for their client's day to day needs.
An economics graduate, Craig is another product of our internal training programme, where we instil our key qualities of customer service and knowledge expertise.
Martin Brennan - Team 3 Manager
Martin joined us after a period in retail management and has since quickly moved up to his present position. Very much a perfectionist, this is a quality that helped him to progress with Nixon Williams.
An ardent proponent of top quality customer service, Martin takes pride in the delivery of excellence.
Alan Jackson - Team 4 Manager
Prior to joining Nixon Williams, Alan had worked in other accountancy practices for over 10 years, bringing with him a wide range of experience. The main difference Alan noticed was how fast the turnaround of client's accounts was at Nixon Williams.
Adele Ryan - New Client Manager
Adele initially worked in one of our accounts teams as an accountant, she now advises our new clients about our accountancy services.
Unlike many of our competitors, Adele benefits from having an accountancy background so this helps as she knows what she is talking about!
Shirley Ritchie - Office Administrator
Shirley was our very first employee and she is still with us! With her being with us from day one, Shirley has a vast amount of knowledge and experience to ensure that the whole team is heading in the right direction.
